Lawns & Pavilions

The gardens and pavilions located throughout the Melbourne Zoo grounds provide ideal locations for more casual corporate picnic days, social get togethers, club gatherings, or family picnic outings.

There are 12 lawn areas and 6 pavilion sections to choose from, depending on the size of your gathering and the catering requirements.

Families can relax on their picnic rugs while the children frolic on the expansive and beautiful lawn spaces, or for a more intimate gathering, the pavilions offer a sheltered venue where guests can mingle and admire the view.

Booking Considerations

• Total of 12 lawns & 6 pavilion sections
• Tickets are required for Zoo entry with a 50% discount for outdoor venue bookings
• Tickets must be pre-ordered 7 working days prior to your function
• Outdoor furniture and additional shade structures can be arranged
• Good access for the disabled
• Vehicle access
